This Privacy Policy explains how FindAffiliates collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit the website, create an account, use PRO features, subscribe to the newsletter, purchase a listing, or browse affiliate program pages.

FindAffiliates is an affiliate program directory and discovery platform. It is not the merchant or affiliate network for the third-party programs listed on the site.

Information We Collect

We collect information only when it supports the site, account features, paid access, listings, support, safety, analytics, or newsletter delivery.

Account dataEmail address, user ID, profile details provided through Clerk, sign-in status, PRO status, and subscription metadata needed to provide account features.
Payment and subscription dataCheckout and subscription identifiers, plan type, purchase status, customer portal links, and billing email handled through Lemon Squeezy. We do not store full payment card numbers.
Newsletter dataEmail address, referring page, welcome-email status, reactivation status, and email engagement data handled through beehiiv. Every marketing email should include unsubscribe controls and the mailing address configured in beehiiv.
Directory activityBookmarks, saved affiliate finder answers, generated matches, PRO scout counts, PRO apply counts, and related timestamps stored so users can access member features.
Company listing dataProgram names, descriptions, logos, commission information, affiliate links, listing package details, submitter email, contact details, and public listing metadata. Paid listing customers submit program and contact details through Tally.
Usage, device, and log dataIP address, browser and device data, pages visited, request logs, error logs, security events, rate-limit data, analytics events when analytics is accepted, and ad measurement events when marketing consent is accepted.
Cookies and local storageNecessary cookies for auth, security, referral attribution, and core features. Optional analytics, preferences, and marketing/ad measurement choices are controlled separately through the cookie choices panel.

How We Use Information

  • Provide the website, account access, saved bookmarks, affiliate finder results, and PRO features.
  • Process purchases, subscriptions, customer portal access, listing packages, refunds, support, and billing records.
  • Send newsletter emails, welcome emails, and service-related messages where permitted.
  • Operate program listings, company profile access, paid placements, badges, and listing change requests.
  • Measure site performance and improve the directory when analytics is accepted.
  • Detect abuse, prevent fraud, enforce limits, debug errors, and secure the service.
  • Comply with legal, tax, accounting, dispute, and platform obligations.

Cookies and Choices

Necessary cookies and similar storage help the site provide authentication, security, checkout, referral attribution, preferences, rate limiting, and core functionality. Some preferences may also be stored in local storage, such as theme, language, bookmarks cache, and cookie choices.

Google Analytics, Google Translate, and Meta Pixel are optional. Analytics loads only after analytics consent. Google Translate loads only after preferences consent or when you directly interact with the translation feature. Meta Pixel loads only after marketing consent and is used for basic page and ad measurement events.

In Phase 1, Meta Pixel is not configured for advanced matching, customer identifiers, or purchase tracking. We do not send email addresses, account IDs, order IDs, or other customer identifiers to Meta Pixel.

You can accept all, reject non-essential tools, or manage choices through the cookie choices panel. You can also use your browser settings to clear cookies and local storage.

Service Providers

We use service providers to run the website and process data on our behalf or as independent providers for their services.

ClerkAuthentication, account sessions, user profile, and public account metadata.
SupabaseDatabase storage for users, bookmarks, finder results, program activity, pending payments, company listing data, and blog or program content.
Lemon SqueezyCheckout, subscriptions, invoices, customer portal, and payment processing.
TallyExternal paid listing details form provider for program and contact details submitted by paid listing customers.
beehiivNewsletter subscriptions, welcome emails, unsubscribe management, and email footer details.
Google AnalyticsOptional analytics after consent.
Google TranslateOptional translation after consent or direct language interaction.
Meta PixelOptional marketing and ad measurement after marketing consent. Phase 1 does not use Meta advanced matching, customer identifiers, or purchase tracking.
VercelHosting, deployment, request logs, and edge infrastructure.
UpstashRate limiting and abuse prevention for selected API routes.

Sharing and Disclosures

We do not sell personal information. We may share information in these limited situations:

  • With service providers listed above so they can provide hosting, auth, payments, newsletter, analytics, translation, database, and security services.
  • With third-party program websites when you click outbound links. Those websites control their own privacy practices.
  • With company owners when public listing information is displayed or when their verified email is used to manage their listings.
  • With authorities, courts, advisors, or counterparties when required for legal compliance, safety, fraud prevention, disputes, or business transfers.

Retention

We keep information for the time needed for the purpose collected, then delete, de-identify, or archive it when reasonable.

Account dataKept while your account exists, unless a longer period is needed for security, billing, or legal records.
Payment recordsKept as needed for accounting, tax, subscription, dispute, and fraud-prevention purposes.
Newsletter dataKept until you unsubscribe or request deletion, subject to beehiiv suppression and compliance records.
Bookmarks and finder resultsKept while your account exists or until deletion is requested, unless needed for security or dispute records.
Program listingsKept while the listing is active and as needed for audit, support, billing, and historical directory records.
Referral cookiesCurrently set for up to 30 days where used.
Logs and security recordsKept for a limited period appropriate to security, debugging, and abuse prevention.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or information about how your data is handled. You can also unsubscribe from marketing emails through the unsubscribe link in beehiiv emails.

California residents may request details about categories of personal information collected, sources, purposes, categories of recipients, and deletion or correction where applicable. We do not sell personal information. If a future feature is treated as a sale or share under California law, we will update this policy and provide the required opt-out.

EU and UK visitors may have rights under GDPR or UK GDPR, including the right to complain to a data protection authority. Where consent is used for optional analytics, preferences, or marketing/ad measurement, you can withdraw that consent through the cookie choices panel or browser controls.

International Transfers

FindAffiliates and its providers may process information in the United States, India, the European Union, the United Kingdom, and other countries where our providers operate. When data moves across borders, we rely on provider safeguards, contractual terms, and other legally recognized transfer mechanisms where required.

Children

FindAffiliates is not intended for children under 13, and paid account or listing features are intended for users who can form a binding agreement. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
